Memorial services for Nancy Caldwell were held Monday at Calvary Episcopal Church. A memorial service will he held at 11 a.m. on July 7, at Christ Church in Oyster Bay, N.Y. The body was cremated and her ashes will be spread at the conclusion of the July 7 service. In lieu of flowers or gifts, memorials may be made to American Cancer Society, 33 E. Broadway, Suite 100, Columbia, 65203; Cancer Research Center, 3501 Berrywood Dr., Columbia, 65201; or the cancer research organization of your choice.
Nancy A. Caldwell, 57, East Norwich, N.Y., died June 27, 2001, at her mother’s home in Sedalia.
Ms. Caldwell was born in Eldon. She held a bachelor of science degree in biology from Southern Methodist University, Dalla, Texas, and a master of arts degree in education from Columbia University, New York, NY.
Mrs. Caldwell worked at St. Mary’s in Syosset, N.Y., for 12 years as a science teacher.
She was a member of the Sagamore Yacht Club and Daughters of the American Revolution.
Mrs. Caldwell was preceded in death by her father, Charles.
Survivors include her mother, Nancy Catherine Caldwell of Sedalia; two sons, David Caldwell of Birmingham, Ala., Steven Caldwell of Oyster Bay, N.Y.; and two brothers, Marvin Caldwell of San Diego, Calif, and Edward Caldwell of Sedalia.
