Ray Edward Doty, 68, Cleveland, died Sunday, June 10, 2001, at Research Medical Center in Kansas City.
Funeral services for Ray Doty, a native of Pattonsburg, were held June 13 at Atkinson Chapel in Harrisonville. Arrangements were by Atkinson Funeral Home, Harrisonville. Interment was at West Union Cemetery in Cleveland with military rites by Whiteman Air Force Base Honor Guard.

Mr. Doty was born in Pattonsburg. He lived in Cass County most of his life.
Mr. Doty was a retired Air Force crew chief and jet engine technician with the 442nd Civil Service Unit.
Mr. Doty was a member of the Pentecostal Church in Pattonsburg.
Mr. Doty was preceded in death by one brother, John, and one sister, Wanda Sweat.
Survivors include his wife, Delitha, of the home; one son, Wayne Angus of Springfield; four daughters, Rebecca Millstead, Holden, Denise Angus, Cleveland, Debra Angus, Lee’s Summit, and Wanda Kiely, Katy, Texas; three brothers, Loye F., Oklahoma City, Okla., Charles, Uvalde, Texas, and Chet, Weatherby; three sisters, Lavon Teel, Gallatin, Marjorie Stacy, Valentine, Neb., and Marilyn Talbert, Pattonsburg; and four grandchildren.
