Funeral services for Mabel Moore were held Friday at Resthaven Mortuary in Trenton. Burial was at Resthaven Memorial Gardens, Trenton. Memorials may be made to the Grundy County Learning Center or her church.
Mabel (Rosenbaum) Moore, 86, Chillicothe, died Wednesday, May 30, 2001, at the hospital in Chillicothe.
Mrs. Moore was born in Henry County. She moved with her family as a child to Daviess County, where she was raised. She had been a resident of a health-care center in Trenton until moving to one in Chillicothe in 1998.
On March 6, 1937, she married Thornton Moore in Trenton. They lived in Daviess County after their marriage and moved to a farm south of Trenton in 1942. He survives of the home.
Mrs. Moore was a member of the Liberty Chapel Christian Church, where she was a Sunday school teacher and played the organ; and Southside Farm Club. She was a former board member of the Grundy County Learning Center.
Mrs. Moore was preceded in death by two brothers, Harry and Roy Rosenbaum; and four sisters, Inez Rosenbaum, Hazel Park, Jessie Henderson and Louise Lash.
Other survivors include a son, Jim, Trenton; a daughter, Jan England, Chillicothe; a brother, Raymond Rosenbaum, Springfield; nine grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and several stepgrandchildren and step-great-grandchildren.
