Cleta Grace Bristow, age 98, of Gallatin, formerly of Jameson, Missouri, died Thursday, May 31, 2001, at the Daviess County Care Center, Gallatin, Missouri.

Mrs. Bristow was born in Kingston, Missouri, on March 22, 1903. She had resided in the Gallatin and Jameson areas for all of her life and was also a homemaker.

Mrs. Bristow was a member of the Jameson Christian Church. She was also a former member of the Jameson Order of the Eastern Star, Jameson, Missouri, the Corinthian Chapter #112, Order of the Eastern Star, Gallatin, Missouri and the Kitchen Band, Jameson, Missouri.

Mrs. Bristow was united in holy matrimony with Mr. Paul “Curly” Bristow. He preceded her in death on August 9, 1987.

Mrs. Bristow was also preceded in death by her parents, Bert and Ora Dell (Clevenger) Stephens; her son, James Bristow; her daughter, Rosalie Collings; her granddaughter, Debra “Debbie” (Harlow) Harris; her four brothers and her three sisters.

Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Jerry and Pat Bristow of Montrose, Missouri; her daughter, Kathryn Harlow of Kansas City, Missouri; her sister Marvel Burris of California; her sister-in-law, Lois Stephens of Independence, Missouri; her twelve grandchildren; her thirty-one great-grandchildren; her nine, great-great grandchildren; nieces, nephews and many dear friends.

Funeral services were held June 2, 2001 at Hope-Eldringhoff Funeral Home, Gallatin, Missouri.

Interment was in the Mt. Ayr Cemetery, Altamont, Missouri. Memorial contributions may be made to the Jameson Christian Church, Jameson, Missouri, in care of the funeral home. Services were under the direction of Hope-Eldringhoff Funeral Home, Gallatin, Missouri.
