An Oklahoma man was moderately injured in a one vehicle accident on I-35 three miles north of Cameron in Daviess County at about 4:45 a.m. on May 17, according to a report by the Missouri Highway Patrol.

Otis King, 47, of Jennings, Okla., was northbound on I-35 when the tractor trailer drifted off the east side of the highway. Mr. King overcorrected and the vehicle overturned onto its right side coming to rest along an embankment on the east side of the highway. The highway was not blocked.

Mr. King was taken to Cameron Community Hospital by Daviess County Ambulance. Mr. King was wearing a seat belt.

The 1998 freightliner tractor trailer received total disposition and was towed by Scotty’s of Cameron

The accident was investigated by Tpr. P.M. Kimball, assisted by the Daviess County Sheriff’s Department. No summons was issued.
