Seven R-3 FCCLA and 13 FFA chapter members hosted an honors night.
Seven members of the North Daviess R-3 Family, Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) and 13 members of the Future Farmers of America (FFA) chapter hosted an honors night and banquet in the school gymnasium May 1.
Senior FCCLA members Lindsay Hunter and Casey Griffin were saluted. Junior Kerri Baker earned the Power of One “Working on Working” Award. All members were honored in their specialty work area. Certificates of appreciation were extended to the North Daviess staff, administration advisory committee and school board. The Gallatin North Missourian was also honored for publicity.
The banquet offered an opportunity to review a variety of FFA/FCCLA activities held during the past year. Two FFA contest teams were recognized: Dairy Cattle — Brock Griffin, Jhona Skeens, John Bohannon, Kurt Waterbury; and Entomology Team — Amber Hackett, Jessica Youngs, Felicia Nelson.
Those completing terms as officers are: FFA — Amber Hackett, president; Brock Griffin, vice president; Casey Griffin, secretary; Dorothy Hunt, treasurer; Mandy Williams, reporter; and Jessica Youngs, sentinel; FCCLA — Shannon Dutro, president; Amber Hackett, vice president; Crystal Cook, secretary/treasurer; Trisha Breit, historian; Lindsay Hunter, recreation leader; and Kerry Baker, reporter.
