Edwin Wesley Campbell, 71, Gallatin, formerly of St. Joseph, died Tuesday, May 1, 2001, at Heartland Regional Medical Center East in St. Joseph.

Mr. Campbell was born in Haskell County, Texas. He attended school in Haskell County, Texas, and Hutto, Texas. He spent most of his life between Benson, Ariz., and St. Joseph. After retiring four years ago, he moved to Gallatin, where he lived with his sister and her husband, Harold (Rusty) and Roselie Shopbell.
He was of the Christian faith.
Mr. Campbell was preceded in death by one brother, James.
Survivors include one sister, Roselie Shopbell, Gallatin; four brothers, Clarence Campbell, Austin, Texas, Charles Campbell, Austin, Texas, Ernest Campbell, Taylor, Texas, and W. Lee Campbell, Idaho.
