Funeral services for Charles G. Long, brother of Edra Everly of Coffey, will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, May 5, at Roberson Funeral Home in Bethany. Burial will be at Fairview Cemetery, Bethany. Visitation is after 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home, where the family will receive friends from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday. Memorials may be made to his church in care of the funeral home, P.O. Charles G. Long, 86, Bethany, died Sunday, April 29, 2001, at a Bethany health-care center.
Mr. Long was born southeast of Bethany.
He was engaged in farming all of his adult life.
Mr. Long was a member of the Prairie Chapel United Methodist Church, east of Bethany.
On March 15, 1940, he married Grace V. Hendren. She survives of the home.
Other survivors include two sons, Philip, Bethany, and Gerald, Mundelein, Ill.; a daughter Susan Gearhart, Chickasha, Okla.; one other sister, and Evelyn Johnson, St. Joseph; eight grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
