Gallatin R-5 seventh graders ranked in the top ten of the North Missouri Math League. The league is in its second year and is set up for the advancement of mathematical skills. The league is comprised of ten schools in the North Central Missouri area. The other nine schools are Bueker Middle School at Marshall, Carrollton Junior High, Chillicothe Middle School, Concordia Junior High, Lexington Middle School, Northwestern Junior High at Mendon, Orrick Junior High, Richmond Middle School and Slater Junior High. Tests are given four times throughout the course of the year. Students who have the highest cumulative score for the four tests are declared the individual champion. The team score is based upon the top ten individual scores for each school in their division. At the end of the four tests, the team champion is based upon the cumulative score for their four tests. Gallatin team results were: 5th Katie Patton and Alleah Freeman; 6th Kyle Andrew; 8th Melissa Craig, Whitney Boyd and Maria Burge; 9th Levi Rainey; 10th Erick Jackson.
