Gallatin graduate awarded MU Human Environmental Sciences Scholarship by Megan Montgomery
Hard work has paid off, literally, for Sarah Hemry of Gallatin. Hemry, a junior interior design major at the University of Missouri-Columbia, was selected as the student to receive the Elsie Park Duncan Memorial Scholarship from the College of Human Environmental Sciences.
The scholarship, in the amount of $1,300, was established by Elsie Park Duncan and her niece, Virginia S. Miller. The recipient of this honor must be a leader in the classroom and on campus, as well as in good standing with MU.
Hemry, a 1998 graduate of Gallatin High School, is an ambassador for the College of Human Environmental Sciences and a member of Kappa Alpha Theta sorority. She is the daughter of Joyce Hemry and Warren Hemry.
