Tryouts for the spring musical “Blast From the Past” will be held between 3-5 p.m. on Sunday, April 22, in the Penney High School music room in Hamilton. Female vocals for “Peggy Sue” will audition at 3 p.m. and male vocals for “Johnny B. Goode” will audition at 4 p.m.

Dancers must be prompt at 5 p.m. because they will need to learn a dance sequence and at least one lift. Tryouts will follow. Dancers are encouraged to bring a partner.

“Blast From the Past” will be presented by the Young Adult Theater League. Music will include “those oldies but goodies” form the 1950’s decade and early 60’s. The dancing will be from the same era.

The league encourages all area high school and college age students to participate in the musical event. The presentation will have a live band back-up and is scheduled for J.C. Penney Days.

Performances to be held on June 8-9-10. Vocalists may tryout with their choice of pop music. There will be an accompanist available or

you may use a trax tape without voices already on it. If there is a conflict with the time or date, please make prior arrangements before the 22nd. If you have any questions or need to make special arrangements, contact Pat Brown at 816-583-7392.
