Bid Notice for asphalt overlay of Landmark Road

INVITATION TO BID

FOR DAVIESS COUNTY COMMISSION

DAVIESS COUNTY, MO

Sealed bids will be received at the office of the County Clerk, 102 N. Main, Gallatin, MO 64640 until 10:00 a.m., local time, May 14, 2001. Bids will be publicly opened and read aloud at the office of the County Clerk for: A 1 inch thick asphalt overlay of Landmark Rd., Daviess County, Missouri. The road is approximately 22 feet wide and 1.3 miles long.

All equipment, materials and workmanship must be in accordance with the drawings and specifications on file with the County Clerk of Daviess County, MO, 102 N. Main St., Gallatin, MO 64640, and in the Consulting Engineers, Shafer, Kline and Warren, Inc., 921 Jackson St., Chillicothe, MO 64601.

Copies of the bidding documents (Invitation to Bid, Instructions to Bidders, Bid form, Agreement form, Construction Performance Bond and Construction Payment Bond forms, General Conditions, Supplementary Conditions, Detailed Specifications and Drawings) desired for bidding purposes may be obtained from the Consulting Engineer at a non-refundable charge of $15.00 per set.

A certified check on a solvent bank or a bid bond by a satisfactory surety in an amount equal to 5% (five percent) of the total amount of the bid must accompany each proposal as bid security.

No Bidder may withdraw his bid for a period of 60 days after the date of opening of bids.

Minimum wage rates for this contract shall be prevailing wage rates as determined by the Industrial Commission of Missouri. The wage rates are set forth in the contract documents, and are to be considered as a part of this Invitation to Bid.

THE OWNER RESERVES THE RIGHT TO REJECT ANY OR ALL BIDS. THE OWNER FURTHER RESERVES THE RIGHT TO WAIVE ANY IRREGULARITIES IN ANY OR ALL BIDS, AND RESERVES THE RIGHT TO DETERMINE WHICH IS THE MOST RESPONSIVE, RESPONSIBLE BIDDER AND TO REJECT OR APPROVE THE BOND.
