Funeral services for Richard Morris were held Monday at Polley-Slaughter-Polley Funeral Home, Ridgeway. Burial was at Morris Chapel Cemetery, Bethany.

Richard Earl Morris, 93, Cameron, died Thursday, March 29, 2001, at a health-care center in Cameron.

Born in Ridgeway, Mo., Mr. Morris was a graduate of the Ridgeway High School.

Mr. Morris had been engaged in farming north of Gilman City, until retiring.

He was a member of the Kansas City Baptist Temple.

On March 26, 1941, he married Ruth M. Parrish in Ridgeway. They lived and farmed north of Gilman City until retiring and moving to Gallatin, and then to Cameron. She survives of the home.

Mr. Morris was preceded in death by an infant son, Larry D.; three sisters, Dulcia and Glenn Morris, and Pauline Moss; and a brother, Guy.

Other survivors include a daughter, Judith A. Vochatzer, Independence; five sons, Robert, Raymore, Maurice, Canyon Lake, Texas, Norman G., Huntsville, Ala., Charles R., Olathe, Kan.,

and Cecil R., Lee’s Summit; 17 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
