Bill and Shirley Hathaway will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with a reception from 2- 4 p.m. on Sunday, April 8, at the Pattonsburg Senior Center. The party will be hosted by Boyd and Rosemary Hathaway and Lois and Ed Stark, assisted by five grandchildren. Bill and Shirley Hathaway were married on April 9, 1949, at Rev. O.D. Hudges home in Martinsville. Bill is retired from the Army. He then held the occupation of farmer and truck driver. Shirley is a retired school bus driver. The couple reside on their farm in Jameson. All friends, family and relatives are invited to attend the anniversary celebration. They request no gifts, please.
