Gallatin junior varsity basketball teams combined for a record of

17-10 in recently completed seasons.

Gallatin’s junior varsity girls completed a solid 8-5 season with

13 girls participating on this year’s team. Kim Clevenger found

considerable playing time at point guard as the only junior. Four

sophomores, seven freshmen and senior foreign exchange student

Sharon Friere made up the rest of the roster.

Leading girls scorers were Brook Carder at 8.1 ppg, Jamie Lunsford

at 5.1 ppg, Clevenger with a 4.5 ppg average and Lindsey Love with

4.3 ppg. Other key contributors in scoring were Katie Ward and

Laura McCann, averaging 3.2 and 2.2 ppg, respectively.

Carder and Lunsford were team leaders in steals. Carder was also

rebound leader, followed by Keira Story, McCann and Amanda

Bohannon. Also suiting up this season were freshmen Samantha

Bridgeman, Allison McLaughlin, Jenny Youtsey and Whitney Wright.

Lady Bulldog jayvee highlights included a 2nd place finish at the

Lathrop JV Tournament and a 3rd place finish in the Gallatin JV

Tournament.

The Bulldog jayvee boys, 5 sophomores and 6 freshmen, posted a 9-5

record this season. Team highlights included 2nd place finishes in

the Gallatin and Lathrop jayvee tournaments.

Leading scorers were Zach Osgood with a 14 ppg average, Will Jarboe

at 9.6 ppg and Colby Swanstone at 8.3 ppg. Also figuring

prominently in the scoring department were Duke Burge with 7 ppg

and Matt Swofford at 4.2 ppg.

Swanstone, Jarboe and Osgood led the team in rebounding. Osgood

also led in steals. Wilson Tolen and Brady Feigly were sophomores

playing significant roles on the team. Freshmen rounding out the

roster were Danny Clevenger, Patrick Dickinson, Dustin Teel and

Mike Love.
