Representatives from six local businesses provided North Daviess R-3 students with information about the nature of their business, employees and company goals during an all school assembly held for Career Day on Feb. 20.
Represented on the panel were Peggy Wright of Rural Electric Coop of Trenton; Heather Massey of the Cameron Police Department; Peggy Gardner of Guaranty Bank of Pattonsburg; Jeff Berti of the Department of Conservation; Judy Vyrostek of Missouri Land Title Corporation of
Gallatin; and Larry Pollard and Lori Mathes of PSF of Princeton.
Jimmy Hunt, a junior Family and Consumer Science student, quizzed the panel about job skills, employee traits, work ethics and other business practices.
Following the assembly, students from the Families and Careers, Business Technology and Applied Communications classrooms were allowed to practice their skills at interviewing and writing resumes with the local business representatives.
