A.J. “Jack” Neil, El Segundo, Calif., died at Little Company of Mary Hospital in Torrance, Calif.
Private funeral services for Jack Neil were held last Wednesday at Green Hills Memorial Park in Rancho Palos Verdes. In lieu of flowers the family ask that donations be made in his memory to Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles Memorial Fund, Dept. 7924, Los Angeles, Calif., 90084-7924.
A.J. “Jack” Neil, El Segundo, Calif., died at Little Company of Mary Hospital in Torrance, Calif.
Mr. Neil was born near Fairport in DeKalb County. He was a graduate of Maysville High School.
Mr. Neil was employed at Chevron in El Segundo, retiring after 35 year in October of 1977.
Mr. Neil served on the El Camino Board of Trustees and was a Mason for over 50 years. He worked with Junior Achievement and was a volunteer at the Little Company of Mary. He attended Rolling Hills Covenant church.
On Oct. 5, 1937, he married Genevieve Copeland of King City. She preceded him in death.
Survivors include two daughters, Peggy Jo Winterrowd of Rolling Hills Estates, Calif., and Mary Beth Clark of Palos Verdes Estates, Calif.; one sister, Francis Shepard of Lexington, Ken.; and two grandchildren.
