Following are the approved minutes for Feb. 20, 2001. All members were present.
Daniel Lynn, bridge supervisor, and James Lewis, foreman, met with the commission reporting routine matters.
Daren Adkins, Associate Circuit Judge, swore Jason Smith into the office of Deputy Coroner.
The commission reviewed the 2001 CART mileage for each township and road district. David Holcomb will inspect CART road #567 to determine the mileage allowed for that road. Bid requests will be mailed this week for the 2001 program. Bids are to be opened March 19.
A progress report was received from Missouri Bridge and Concrete on bridge #14800101.
Angi McCollum, representing Community Health, met with the commission with a final proposal for employees’ health insurance. Danny Heldenbrand moved to accept the Community Health proposal, with the county paying $100 of the premium per month. David Holcomb seconded. Carried unanimously. The commission executed the final paperwork with a March 1, 2001, effective date.
Abatements were granted reducing personal taxes $760.28 and real estate taxes $1,206.64.
