The sheriff’s department responded to a call the morning of Feb. 11 at Lot 1072, Lake Viking. Nathan William Hawes, 22, was pronounced dead by the Daviess County Coroner of a self-inflicted gunshot. The incident was investigated by the sheriff’s department and Trooper Dominick Walker of the State Highway Patrol.
