On Jan. 31, James Weldon of Gallatin reported that he had been the victim of theft by deceit when he paid a subject $245 to make a sign for his front yard. The work has not been completed, and the subject has left the area. The report has been forwarded to the prosecuting attorney.

On Jan. 31, a 17-year-old Gallatin man was arrested for two counts of the Class A misdemeanor of violation of exparte order of child protection. He posted bond of $150.

Kathy J. Jarvis of Braymer was processed Feb. 5 for the Class D felony of passing bad checks. Bond was set at $2500. She is being held in the Henrietta Detention Facility.

Earl Brown of Pattonsburg reported Feb. 5 that he had discovered property damage at Brown Lumber in Pattonsburg that occurred sometime between Feb. 2 and Feb. 5. The business was locked as usual on Friday, but it was discovered on Monday morning that the west gates, although still secured, were damaged. It appeared that a vehicle was used to push against the

gates, causing them to bend. Damage is estimated at $300.

Kerry L. McBroom of Gallatin was arrested Feb. 6 for the Class D felony of driving while intoxicated. He posted bond of $5,000.
