John and Shirley Wood will observe 45 years of marriage on Feb. 12, 2001. They were married at the Methodist Church in Carrollton in 1956. John and Shirley will be celebrating with their children and families at the home of their daughter, Terry and Paul Pierce, on Sunday, Feb. 11, 2001. Other children and spouses celebrating with them will be Ina and John Wright, John Jr. and Carla, Tracy and Joe Michael, Barry and Robin, Amy Wood and Lisa Chadwick. They are also joined by 14 grandchildren. Shirley will also be observing her 65th birthday on Feb. 14. They would welcome cards from friends in observance of these special days.
