Green Hills is sponsoring three grantwriting workshops.
Green Hills Resource Conservation and Development Council is sponsoring three grantwriting workshops to be held on the campus of NCMC in Trenton. The dates are as follows: Grantwriting I — April 23-24; Grantwriting II — May 21-22; and Grantwriting III — June 18-19.
Each session will build on the previous session but they can be taken independently of each other. The benefits of taking all three sessions will provide complete training and a savings of $25 to the participant. Total cost is $125 per session or $350 for all sessions.
Dr. Don Udell, nationally acclaimed grantwriting expert and instructor, will present the
workshops. Through Dr. Udell’s efforts he has written grants that have ben funded for over 24 million dollars from federal, state, and private foundation sources.
Grantwriting I — This session will provide the participant with information about foundations and corporations; who they give to and why; the process of a successful fund-raising campaign; how to determine your fundability through effective prospecting; what makes a
successful grant seeker; how to structure a proposal; and how to contact a foundation and submit a proposal.
Grantwriting II — This session focuses on the in-depth research, proposal structure, and initial contact with foundations. Mock interviews will be conducted and actual telephone contacts will be made. Participants should come to this session with a project proposal or proposal idea.
Grantwriting III — This session will focus on the total development of the proposal, components of a proposal, cover letters, timeliness, sample proposal, proposal evaluation, and budget development. Emphasis will be placed on the budget and evaluation components, considered to be the two most critical parts of the grant. The workshops are starting to fill up so we encourage anyone interested to register now to attend these sessions. For more information and a registration form please contact the Green Hills RC&D office at 660-646-6220 Ext. 104 or come by 1100 Morton Parkway, Chillicothe.
