The Pattonsburg Panthers fell to King City, 58-43, Friday night in the consolation final of the King City Invitational Tournament. King City used a 32-15 scoring run in the middle periods to slam the
door on Panther trophy aspirations.
Brian Williamson scored 10 points for the Panthers, who were outshot from the field, 56 % to 43%.
Dustin Miller’s 8 points included 6 of 6 from the foul line.
Pattonsburg defeated Stanberry, 55-41, in Wednesday’s consolation semifinal. Williamson, Miller and Tyler Mason each scored 15 points for the Panthers, who shot 51% from the field and 70% from the free throw line. Miller pulled down a team-high 6 rebounds. Williamson dished out a high of 4 assists.
Tyler Mason ripped the net for 21 points and grabbed 11 rebounds, while Williamson added 17 in Tuesday’s opening round, 70-58, Panther loss to North Andrew.
