The Small Business Development Center in Chillicothe is sponsoring a seminar entitled “How to Start a New Business.”
The class will be held on Tuesday, Jan. 16, from 6-8 p.m. in the Chillicothe City Hall boardroom.
The seminar is recommended before you seek counseling assistance with the Small Business Development Center. Admission is free, but reservations must be made to Jeanne Dau at the Small Business Development Center by calling 660-646-6920.
This two-hour course will cover the following topics: evaluating your business idea; researching the demographics of the area; developing a business plan; choosing a legal formation; paying taxes; financing the business; marketing and positioning your business; exit strategies.
Handouts and excellent reference materials will be distributed.
