Eric Belshe, son of Steve and Marsha Belshe of Gallatin, joined the Cameron Police Department on Dec. 16.
A 1991 graduate of Gallatin High School, Mr. Belshe graduated from CMSU in Warrensburg in 1995 with a degree in Criminal Justice. He was employed at Crossroads Correction Center for three years. He graduated from the Regional Law Enforcement Academy of Missouri Western State College in December 2000.
Eric and his wife, Stefanie, have one son, Brett, 18 months. She has worked at Cameron Insurance Company since 1990. The Belshes have their house in Gallatin for sale and have made the decision to move to Cameron.
“We have put off moving to Cameron, even though we both work there because our families are here,” said Mr. Belshe. “I have really enjoyed being a part of the Gallatin Volunteer Fire Department. They are a great bunch of guys and I’ll miss that.”
