The Missouri Department of Transportation Commission has awarded a resurfacing contract for several routes in Daviess and Caldwell Counties.

The Missouri Department of Transportation Commission has awarded a resurfacing contract for several routes in Daviess and Caldwell Counties. The contract in the amount of $912,146.86 was awarded to APAC-Missouri, Inc. of Columbia.

The work to be done under this contract will be a one inch asphalt overlay on approximately 26 miles of roadway.

The following is a list of the routes which will be resurfaced: Daviess County – Route FF, from Route 13 to County Road 172, (3.14 miles); Route UU, from Route B to Route P, (7.02 miles); Route C, four miles west of Route 13 (4.94 miles); Route 6, east/west intersections of Route 6 and Route 69, (1 mile).

Caldwell County – Route K, from Route 36 to Route U, (3.49 miles); Route P, from Route D to Route 13, (5.16 miles); Route 13, from the Daviess County Line to Route 36 (3.67 miles).

Work will begin on these routes in the spring of 2001, and the work must be completed before Oct. 1, 2001. the Area Engineer in charge of this project is Chris Redline whose office is located in Cameron, (816) 632-7304.
