Stitts observe 50th wedding anniversary

Paul and Janet (Meadows) Stitt will observe their 50th wedding anniversary Friday, Dec. 15. They were married on that date in 1950 at the Methodist Church in Pattonsburg. Paul is a veteran of the Korean War, serving in Germany for two years. He retired from the Norfolk Southern Railroad in 1987 as Assistant Vice-President of Transportation in Roanoke, Va. They have moved 24 times. Janet is a homemaker. A family celebration was held Nov. 25 at their home in St. Joseph by their children, Vicki and Jim Woodward, Jr., McFall; Bill and Shannon Stitt, Broken Arrow, Okla.; and five favorite grandchildren.
