Every December as part of Drunk and Drugged Driving (3D) Prevention Month the Missouri Division of Highway Safety plans activities to educate about and prevent impaired driving. The effort to prevent impaired driving is comprehensive and is supported by people and organizations all over the state.

In recognition of the work done to prevent impaired driving, Governor Roger Wilson is officially proclaiming December as Drunk and Drugged Driving Prevention Month. The proclamation will be signed at a ceremony on November 21 at 2:00 p.m. in the Governor’s office in the State Capitol. The media is invited to cover this occasion and to support this important cause.

While fatalities and injuries caused by impaired driving have declined over the last two decades, there is more to be done. Contact the Missouri Division of Highway Safety to inquire about other activities planned for December.
