Funeral services for Clayton Grimes will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 17, 2000, at the First Christian Church in Gallatin. Arrangements are by Brown Funeral Home of Cameron.
Burial will be at the Lock Springs Cemetery. Visitation will be on Thursday, Nov. 16, at Brown Funeral Home in Cameron, with Masonic services performed at 7 p.m. Family visitation will be from 12 noon to 1 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 17, at the Christian Church in Gallatin. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be made to the shriners Crippled Children Fund and the American Lung Association.

Mr. Grimes was born in Lock Springs and attended school there. He lived in the Gallatin area since 1962.
Mr. Grimes retired as Postmaster for the United States Post Office in Gallatin where he had served from 1965 to 1987.
Mr. Grimes was a member of the Jamesport Masonic Lodge #564 A.F. and A.M.; the Moila Shrine Temple in St. Joseph; the order of the Eastern Star in Gallatin; the Grand River Shrine Club of Gallatin; the Scottish Rite of Freemasonry in St. Joe; the Trenton Council #37 Cryptic Masons in Trenton; the Gallatin Chapter #1 Royal Arch Masons; the Godfrey DeBouillon Commandery #24 of Trenton; and the United Methodist Church in Gallatin.
His first wife, Geneva L. Grimes, preceded him in death on April 8, 1985. He married Marcia McComas on June 4, 1988, in Gallatin. She survives of the home.
Other survivors include three daughters Sandra Kay Harlow, Kearney, Rose Marie Runyan, Lawson, and Mary Lucille Grimes, St. Joseph; two stepdaughters, Paula Weaver, King City, and Nancy Caviglione, Peoria, Ariz.; two sons, Edward L. Grimes, Gallatin, and Oren Lee Grimes,
St. Joseph; two stepsons, Steve Kelley, Liberty, and Michael Kelley, Avondale, Ariz.; one sister, Lucille Lollar, Chillicothe; 13 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
