Oct. 11 meeting of Daughters of the American Revolution was held at the Farmers Wife Tearoom in Jamesport with nine members present. Regent Beverly Ward conducted the opening ritual and Lucille Bruce read the President General’s message. National Defense Report was by
Ann Schweizer as was an American Indian moment. Delegates to Continental Congress in 2001 elected were Fallis Froman with Beverly Ward and LuAnn Briggs alternates. State Conference
delegates elected were Beverly Ward with Jeannie Carpenter and Ann Schweizer as alternates. The program “Sweet Memories of DAR” was presented by Fallis Froman. The Nov. 8 meeting will be a Dutch treat luncheon at the Harper House Tea Room in Hamilton at 12:30 p.m. with the Major Molly Chapter. State Regent Carole Farmer will be the special guest. Members are reminded to bring gifts for veterans. Hostesses were Jeannie Carpenter and Mary Lee Froman.
