Virgil Harris, 100, Gallatin, formerly of Polo, died Wednesday, Oct. 11, 2000, at a Kansas City hospital. There was no service nor visitation. The body was cremated. Arrangements were by the Bailey Funeral Home in Polo.
Mr. Harris was born in Ray County. He had lived in Ray and Caldwell Counties, until moving to Gallatin in 1997.
Mr. Harris had been a farmer and served in the Army during World War II.
Mr. Harris was preceded in death by three brothers, Clarence, Eugene and Ray; and four sisters, Viola Covey, Geneva Kirtley, and Zola and Helen Harris.
Survivors include a sister, Eva M. Gaines, Orrick.
