Funeral services for Codey Ratliff were held Sunday, Oct. 15, 2000, at Weber & Sons Funeral Home in Russellville. Burial was at Mount Carmel Cemetery, Eugene. Memorials may be made to the Parent-Teacher Organization of the Kirchner State School in Jefferson City.

Codey was born in Trenton on June 24, 1991. He was a student at the Kirchner State School in Jefferson City.
Other survivors include his stepfather, Tony Templeton, Russellville; his stepmother, Donna Ratliff, Columbia; a half brother, Garrett Ratliff, Columbia; a stepbrother, Steiger Dinsmore, Columbia; maternal grandparents, Larry Monroe, Linn, and Elaine Monroe, Bonnots Mill; paternal grandparents, Ron and Iva G. Ratliff, Pattonsburg; maternal great-grandmother, Alice Bracht, Chamois; and paternal great-grandparents, Nina Bascom, Gilman City, and Darrell and Delores Ratliff, Gilman City.
