COUNTY COMMISSION
Following are approved minutes of Oct. 2. All members were present.
The commission reviewed the tuckpointing estimates and recommendations for masonry repairs of the courthouse. The matter was taken under advisement.
Daniel Lynn, bridge foreman, and James Lewis, foreman, met with the commission reporting on bridge construction in Benton Township; also, the repair of equipment was discussed.
LaRae Loyd, Colfax Township board member, advised the commission of their appointment of Doris Bassett as Township Collector, filling the vacancy following the resignation of Sandy Bridgeman.
In the afternoon, the commissioners inspected roads in Union, Monroe, Sheridan and Grand River townships.
Due to the holiday on Oct. 9, the next scheduled meeting of the commission will be Tuesday, Oct. 10, 2000.
