Captain Johnnie B. Hoggatt, Commanding Officer of Troop H in St. Joseph, recently announced several personnel changes in Troop H. One officer transferred to Special Services at Troop H, two officers have been promoted, and six new officers graduated Sept. 9, 2000, from the Missouri State Highway Patrol’s Academy in Jefferson City.
Sergeant L. D. Hough, transferred Sept. 1, from Zone 10 Gallatin, to St. Joseph and has been designated the Special Services Sergeant. Sergeant Hough is a 21-year veteran of the Patrol.
Corporal Jeffrey H. Thompson, was promoted to the rank of Sergeant and designated Commander of Zone 10 serving Daviess and DeKalb Counties, effective Sept. 1. Sergeant Thompson is a 10-year veteran of the Patrol and is a native of Hamilton. Sergeant Thompson graduated from Penney High School and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture from the University of Missouri at Columbia. Sergeant Thompson is married to the former Krista Richardson. The Thompson’s have two children.
Trooper Thomas L. Sakaguchi has been promoted to the rank of Corporal and transferred from Zone 2, Maryville to Zone 10, Gallatin, where he has been designated Assistant Zone Commander. Corporal Sakaguchi is a five-year veteran of the Patrol. Corporal Sakaguchi is a native of Philadelphia, Penn., and graduated from Cinnaminson High School in Cinnaminson, N.J.
