Refreshments will be served from 1 to 3 p.m. Gary Schroer of Cameron, manager of Post Office Operations, will administer the oath of office.
Jean Read succeeds Betty Rouner, who retired last April after 12 years as Postmaster of Coffey. In the interim, Gene Gibson headed the office at Coffey as officer in charge. He has returned to his regular position as PTF clerk at Chillicothe.
Ms. Read brings 14 years experience to her new position. She has served as Postmaster Relief at the Coffey post office and served as substitute PMR at Jameson, Darlington and Gilman City. She is married to James Read. The couple has seven children, 13 grandchildren and two great- granddaughters.
