Howard Junior Caldwell, 71, Jameson, died at his home on Monday, Sept. 25, 2000, of an apparent stroke.
Funeral services for Howard Junior Caldwell will be held at 1 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 28, 2000, at Bram Funeral Home In Gallatin. Burial will be at Coffey Cemetery. Military rites will be conducted by V.F.W. Post 2176, Bethany. Friends may call after 9 a.m. today (Wednesday, Sept. 27, 2000) where the family will greet friends between 7-8:30 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the Coffey Cemetery in care of the funeral home.
Howard Junior Caldwell, 71, Jameson, died at his home on Monday, Sept. 25, 2000, of an apparent stroke.
A life-long resident of Daviess County, Mr. Caldwell was born in Gallatin. He was raised in Jamesport and Coffey, where he graduated from the Coffey High School. He was a resident of Jameson for the past 28 years.
Mr. Caldwell was inducted in the Navy on Jan. 22, 1951, and served in the Korean War. He was honorably discharged on Dec. 15, 1954.
Mr. Caldwell was employed by the Gallatin MFA Exchange as a grain manager for 33 years, retiring in 1991.
Mr. Caldwell was a member of the Jameson Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Macy and Marion Caldwell; and three sisters, June Caldwell, Martha Haworth and Louise Caldwell.
Survivors include one daughter, Kathy Chadwick, Jameson; two sons, Jeff, Columbia, and Tim, Clair Township, MI.; one sister, Eva Devenney, Kansas City; six grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
