Progress of the Green Hills Animal Shelter will be reviewed at its annual membership meeting on Tuesday, Oct. 3, at the Missouri Public Service meeting room, 1208 East 17th Street, Trenton.
The meeting is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m.
The group, which was formed about one year ago, has been meeting regularly to develop an animal shelter to serve local and area communities. Board President Gayla Whittle emphasized
that local communities need a place to house abandoned and unwanted animals and stressed that animal adoption will be a high priority.
A proposed floor plan will be displayed and a representative from the St. Joseph Animal Control office will address the group and answer questions. Refreshments and door prizes will also be available.
Individuals interested in the animal shelter project are welcome to attend the meeting on Oct. 3.
