Dortha (Rouner) Fansher, 88, Kansas City, formerly of Trimble, died Wednesday, Sept. 6, 2000, at a Liberty health-care center.
Funeral services for Dortha Fansher, sister of Norma Crabtree of Pattonsburg, were held Saturday, Sept. 9, 2000, at Nashua Baptist Church in Kansas City. Graveside services and burial were also held Saturday at New Hope Cemetery, McFall. Memorials may be sent to the church or to the Northridge Bible Study Group in care of Norma Crabtree, Pattonsburg.
Dortha (Rouner) Fansher, 88, Kansas City, formerly of Trimble, died Wednesday, Sept. 6, 2000, at a Liberty health-care center.
Mrs. Fansher was born and raised and attended school near McFall. After her marriage, she moved to Nashua, which is now within the city limits of Kansas City. In 1963 the couple moved to Trimble. After her husband’s death, she moved back to Nashua.
Mrs. Fansher was a practical nurse in Bethany.
Mrs. Fansher was a member of the Nashua Baptist Church. She taught Sunday School at the church and led Bible study at the New Mark Care Center, Nashua.
In March 1947, she married James R. Fansher in Waukegan, Ill. He died in 1980.
Mrs. Fansher was also preceded in death by a sister, Helen Youngs.
Survivors include a son, Jim of Trimble; a daughter, Shirley Fansher of Kansas City; and a brother, Clayton Rouner of McFall.
