Missouri Community Betterment judges will be in Pattonsburg Monday, Sept. 18, at 3:45 p.m. for an on site visit. Community residents will present a one-hour presentation, telling about the different activities and improvements in Pattonsburg. This is the first year that Pattonsburg has participated in Community Betterment judging. Pattonsburg will be competing with other similar size cities in Missouri. Community Betterment involves everyone and everything in the community.

A project report book with five different activities was entered for competition on July 1. Projects include: Formation of the park board and applying for a $139,000 Landmark Local Park Program Grant; 2. Fund raising to move the O.K. Depot and Norfolk & Western Caboose; 3. Starting a library in City Hall; 4. City council putting up new speed limit signs and signs telling about lots for sale.; 5. Block party held June 24.

All Pattonsburg community friends and residents are invited to come meet the Community Betterment judges Monday, Sept. 18, at 3:45 p.m. at the Pattonsburg Multi-Purpose Senior Center.
