North Daviess R-3 will start school August 23 and will attend half days through the week. Four new teachers have joined the staff.

Michael Williams will teach history for seventh through twelfth grades. Mr. Williams was born in Maryville and graduated from North Nodaway R-6 at Hopkins. He received his B.S.ED. Secondary and Masters in Special Education from Northwest Missouri State University. Mr. Williams previously taught for three years at Clarinda Academy, a school for juvenile delinquent boys, and three years at Pattonsburg. He is single.

Bobbie Pyles will teach first and second grades at R-3. Mrs. Pyles was born in Kansas City. She received her degree in elementary education and counseling at Northwest Missouri State University at Maryville. She previously taught at Albany R-3.

Shawna Wilson will be the learning disabilities teacher for kindergarten through sixth grades. Mrs. Wilson was born in Albany and graduated from its high school. She received her degree in elementary education/learning disabilities from Northwest Missouri State University at Maryville. She student taught at Albany and has previous teaching experience at New Hampton Elementary. She and her husband, Kent, have one child on the way.

Seventh through 12th grade vocational agriculture will be taught by Treva Ballard. Mr. Ballard was born in Mission, Kan. He graduated from Park Hill High School. He received his B.S. degree in agriculture education and agri-science from Northwest Missouri State University. He student taught at West Nodaway High School. He is single.
