J.D. Marsh, 76, Albany, died Sunday, Aug. 6, 2000, at St. Joseph hospital.
Funeral services for J.D. Marsh, father of Jerry Batson, Gallatin, were held Tuesday, Aug. 8, 2000, at Roberson-Polley Chapel in Albany. Burial was at Grandview Cemetery, Albany. Military honors were by American Legion Post No. 106, Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 5329, both of Albany; American Legion Post No. 216 and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 2176, both of Bethany. Memorials may be made to Gentry County Memorial Hospital, Albany.
J.D. Marsh, 76, Albany, died Sunday, Aug. 6, 2000, at St. Joseph hospital.
Mr. Marsh was born in Berlin. He was a graduate of Union Star High School and attended Chillicothe Business School.
Mr. Marsh was an insurance agent for Combined Insurance for 10 years. He also had 17 years as an ambulance driver and physical therapist at Gentry County Memorial Hospital in Albany before his retirement.
Mr. Marsh served in the Army during World War II and was a member of American Legion Post No. 106 in Albany.
On Sept. 21, 1968, he married Aleene Batson. She survives of the home.
Mr. Marsh was preceded in death by a grandchild; and two brothers.
Other survivors include three other sons, Terry D. Marsh, Ravenwood, Bill J. and Bobby R. Batson, both of Albany; three daughters, Cathy A. Asbury, Prairie Home, Deborah L. Sanger, St. Joseph, and Linda L. Whitaker, Albany; 21 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
