The Winston R-6 Board of Education held a special meeting Saturday, July 29. The board accepted a bid from The Contracting Group, L.L.C. of Kearney in the amount of $224,800 for the construction of new classrooms at the Winston school building. Construction is expected to begin within two weeks after the execution of the contract and the projected completion date is within 120 days.
In other business, the board offered a contract for physical education teacher and coach to Lee Warford.
