Palmers celebrate 55th wedding anniversary

The Rev. Joseph and Pearl Palmer of Gallatin will celebrate their 55th anniversary on Aug. 14. Rev. and Mrs. Palmer served as pastor and music director for the Lake Viking Community Church for nine years. Pearl Palmer was an elementary school teacher in the Gallatin Schools for many years. They currently attend the First Baptist Church of Gallatin.

The couple recently joined family and friends on Isle of Palms, S.C., to celebrate their daughter Carolyn’s wedding to Christopher Hartley of Raleigh, N.C. At the wedding, Joe and Pearl danced together for the first time in 55 years. Their children, Stan and Kathy Hill, Billings, Mont.; Carolyn and Chris Hartley, Raleigh, N.C.; Jim Palmer, Isle of Palms, S.C.; and Steve Palmer, Boston, Mass., express their heartiest congratulations to their parents on this blessed anniversary.
