A special backstage visit with Jerry Reed

It’s not every day that you meet a nationally known entertainer but that’s what Donna Booher of Gallatin did Friday when she visited with movie actor and singer Jerry Reed. Donna journeyed to Osceola, Iowa, and tried twice to enter sold-out shows at a casino where Reed was featured entertainment. Eventually, those in charge of the show came up with a ticket for Donna and arranged for a backstage visit with Mr. Reed and his wife. Donna enjoyed hearing Reed talk about the “Smokey and the Bandit” movies in which he co-starred with actor Burt Reynolds. [submitted photo]
