Civil case filed: Robert F. Smith vs. Rosalie I. Jarrett, suit for damages.
Marriage licenses were issued to David D. Karstens and Tina Marie Baker, both of Fair Play and to Michael Todd Terhune of Jamesport and Kimberly Ilea Olenhouse of Chillicothe.
Judge Kenneth Lewis ordered pre-sentence investigations for Bradley S. Farrow and Linda K. Farrow. They had each entered a guilty plea to a reduced charge of possession of a controlled substance, class C felony.
David W. Smith entered a plea of guilty to the Class C felony of burglary in the 2nd degree and to the Class C felony of stealing. Judge Warren McElwain gave him a suspended imposition of sentence and placed him on supervised probation for five years with the special conditions of restitution and 20 days in the county jail.
On a change of venue from Livingston County, following a pre-sentence investigation, Judge Daren Adkins sentenced Brent England to 15 years in the Dept. of Corrections for the Class B felony of assault in the 1st degree, 7 years for the Class C felony of assault in the 2nd degree, and 20 years for the Class A felony of unlawful use of a weapon, sentences to run consecutively. The defendant had previously entered guilty pleas to all three counts.
