On Monday, June 5, 16 Gallatin FFA members and guests went to Kaiser for Camp Rising Sun and returned June 9. Members and guests attending are as follows: Wes Gay, Kim Clevenger, Jo Ann Tummons, Chasidy Renne, Justin Baker, Will Jarboe, Andy Weldon, Andrew Parker, Rachel Toney, Jacklyn Albrecht, Canada Harris, Robert Mazur, Erin Croy, Kyle Croy, Mr. Dennis Croy and Ms. Carrie Fisher.
Members attended leadership sessions. Waterfront activities were held throughout the week. Kim Clevenger, Robert Mazur and Jo Ann Tummons interviewed for camp offices and Jo Ann served as secretary. Wes Gay served on the nominating committee.
Gallatin won the rituals contest. Members participating were Wes Gay, Jo Ann Tummons, Kim Clevenger, Robert Mazur, Andy Weldon, Canada Harris, and Rachel Toney. Jo Ann Tummons took first in extemporaneous speaking and Kim Clevenger took third in creed speaking.
Andrew Parker and Will Jarboe were ping-pong ball champions. Andy Weldon and Rachel Toney were champions in shuffleboard and Robert Mazur was the badminton champion. Justin Baker was the softball all-star and Kim Clevenger was the all around camper.
