Junior high and high school students may sign up now for the Bearcat Track and Field Camp at Northwest Missouri State University in Maryville. The camp is July 14-16 on the Northwest campus.
Students in grades 7-12 must preregister for the camp by calling (660) 562-1713 or (660) 562-1297. As part of preregistration, students may signify three track and field events of interest. While designed as a “day camp,” lodging is available if needed. Information about lodging may be obtained by calling the aforementioned telephone numbers.
The cost of the three-day camp is $80, which includes instruction from Northwest track and field athletes and coaches, videos, lunch each day and a t-shirt.
“We’ve got a great group of coaches lined up this year for the Bearcat Track and Field Camp, including some All-American athletes,” said Rich Alsup, Northwest’s track and field coach. “This is an excellent opportunity for junior high and high school students to get additional instruction in the events they’re interested in.”
