A piece of old Pattonsburg history will soon be saved from demolition and moved to the new town location. The Pattonsburg O.K. Railroad depot will move to its new home 3 miles to the north beginning in mid-July.

Historic Pattonsburg, Inc., a Missouri non-profit, was organized to raise funds, oversee the move and renovation of the building and operate a local history museum within this historic old building.

To celebrate the beginning of work, Historic Pattonsburg, Inc., with the cooperation of the City of Pattonsburg, will hold a groundbreaking ceremony on Saturday, June 24 at 2:30 p.m. on the grounds of the soon-to-be depot museum located one block south of the new Pattonsburg downtown on Central Avenue. The public is invited to attend this festive and informative event. Bring your lawn chairs.
