The Missouri High School Activities Association has released its school enrollment numbers and standard enrollment breaks used in classifying schools for participation in basketball, music and track.

The Missouri High School Activities Association has released its school enrollment numbers and standard enrollment breaks used in classifying schools for participation in basketball, music and track. As a result, Gallatin R-5 will drop to Class 1A for all the above district and state activities.

Gallatin’s submitted enrollment figure of 182 (grades 9-12) will be used for the 2-year cycle of 2000-2001 and 2001-2002. The break set by MSHSAA puts all schools with an enrollment of 184 and below in Class 1A. All schools with an enrollment of 185 to 408 will participate in 2A activities.

Gallatin remains 1A in football, along with all other Grand River Conference schools.

Enrollment figures for GRC members in basketball and track include: South Harrison, 252; Hamilton, 236; Maysville 217; Albany, 182; Gallatin, 182; Worth County 156; Princeton, 147; Stanberry, 141; and King City 120.
