Arrests made, thefts and property damage reported

Alva R. Cogdill, 43, of Jameson was arrested May 30 and charged with the class C felony of possession of a controlled substance. He posted $25,000 bond.

Sandy Webb, Gilman City, reported a cordless phone and a pair of eyeglasses were missing from her residence and that a patio door glass was broken out between May 22-27.

The sheriff’s office and the juvenile office questioned two juveniles and one adult in connection with a recovered 4-wheeler that had been reported stolen from a Gallatin residence.

Charlotte J. Cox, Jameson, reported a .357 Ruger pistol valued at $350 was stolen from her residence some time between Sept. 1, 1999, and May 23, 2000.

Toni Cox, principal of Tri-County School at Jamesport, reported property damage at the school between May 19-25. Someone had thrown a golf ball through a window causing approximately $100 damage.

Gene Hager, Pattonsburg, reported property damage to the school building in old Pattonsburg which he owns. Someone had taken some red bricks from a pile behind the school and thrown them through the east side windows, breaking 12 of them. The damage was estimated at $300.

Carole Pash of Total Service in Pattonsburg reported a drive-off theft of $19.23 worth of gasoline on May 29.

Steve Lee, Jameson postmaster, reported someone had been spinning circles in the drive and broke out a window on the east side of the post office between May 26-27.
